Simplex Plummer Blocks were developed to provide the best functional efficiency particularly to the ship propulsion line shafting. It has been designed to offer a maximum in functional reliability by means of a number of design measures such as:-
• A short shell length that allows exact alignment during installation. With this method it is possible to reduce or avoid edge loading.
• To optimize the running properties of the bearing metal, a technically advanced bonding of bearing metal with the shell base is applied.
• A well-designed lubricating system to ensure oil supply is maintained at all times even under low shaft rpm.
• For working under unfavorable conditions, Simplex bearings with additional cooling by means of a water connection is made available.

Simplex bearing are supplied with temperature sensor for remote monitoring as well as a local thermometer. Bearing are available from shaft diameter 120mm to 1040mm.
