The Simplex Bilge Water Separator type TURBULO - MPB (Mechanical Phase Breaker) by Blohm   and   Voss Industries Gmbh provides an invaluable protection for environment against the pollution of the world's oceans by oil from the ships' bilges is in accordance with the latest IMO-Resolution MEPC 107 (49). The TURBULO - MPB is design to fulfill this new regulation for new buildings with keel-laying date starting from 1st January 2005. Apart from abide to the new IMO Resolution, the TMPB separator is also to reduce the oil / hydrocarbon contents in the outlet water and hold back solid matter as well as the very small hydrocarbon particles.

The new TMPB separator operates as a pressure system by separating the oil and water through gravitational force and with the support of oleophiliccoalescer-inserts in the stage one. In the second stage, it utilizes special mechanically working elements called HYCASEP (Hydro-carbon Separation) to seperate machanical emulsions in the outlet water in accordance to the IMO Resolution MEPC 107 (49). For the monitoring of the purity on discharge water, a measuring unit OMD-2005 is mounted with digital display that is able to record data for up to 18 months.

The Turbulo MPB bilge water separator consists of the following:-
• 15 ppm Bilge Water separator in acc. With MEPC 107 (49)

• 15 ppm Bilge Alarm unit type OMD-2005

• Turbulo separator Pump type TSP

The Turbulo MPB separator's capacity ranges from 0.25m³/hr to 10m³/hr.
